Stories playing in the here and now

Mercy

You see, when the scientists had thought that the only smallpox around was in a very very small box kept securely closed, they were wrong. When you come into the clinic today, seven people have already died. A nurse is missing. He's probably gone, too. You think that his name was Simon. You are a doctor at Mercy Hospital, euthanizing people that suffer from smallpox. Long ago, you have stopped caring, about anything. Or have you?

Nemesis Macana

Standing in front of a London brothel with the clear intent to enter, our protagonist's future may seem dark and foreboding. But perhaps an unexpected and life-changing experience is waiting for him.

Comes with a manifesto about the relation between interactive fiction and sexuality, and its importance for our spiritual health.

The Magic Toyshop

A one-room puzzle feast. No plot to speak of, a modicum of atmosphere, one interesting character: Catharine, the toyshop's owner's daughter. She plays nine games with you, some traditional, some based on puzzles from other adventure games, a few requiring bending of the rules. Contains references to Trinity and Curses!, but the only puzzle that requires knowledge of either is optional. The final puzzle is very hard unless you're familiar with the works of Raymond Smullyan. Has an in-plot hint system (ask Catharine for help).

Opening Night

You stepped off the streetcar moments ago, halting before the grand facade of the Marquis Theatre. You have come to see your idol, the Broadway star Miranda Lily, performing in all her dizzying glory.

Murphy's Law

*Things are looking up! After decades of scrimping and saving, you've finally pulled yourself out of debt. The only thing left standing between you and financial independence is one last mortgage payment. What could possibly go wrong? *

Dinner with Andre

A date by candlelight in a fine restaurant. Should be a perfect evening.

You're on a date, getting ambushed by all sorts of embarrassments and trying to save face. Fun puzzles and nicely goofy feel, though your character can be a bit of a drag--she's so insecure that you may want to shake some sense into her rather than going along with her schemes. Still, everything works well, and there's an enormously funny take on snooty waiters that makes the game worth trying all by itself.

Spiral

Spiral gives the player two protagonists, one male, one female. The two don't know each other but wake to find themselves bound and gagged and stuck on a moving train. What lies ahead for them and for the player are puzzly dream and afterlife scenarios which are manifestations of the characters' various crises.
