Gardening for Beginners

Gardening for Beginners by Juhana Leinonen is a short speed-IF game describing the misadventures of a budding gardener.

What is supposed to be a peaceful and upbeat day of work quickly turns into a nightmare as the player is beset by the horrors of nature.

Bronze

When the seventh day comes and it is time for you to return to the castle in the forest, your sisters cling to your sleeves.

Bronze is a new take on the "Beauty and the Beast" tale, especially geared towards the novice player.

Photopia

In this text adventure, you journey between various short stories that are connected solely by color. At any one time, you may be speeding on the road with a friend, landing on Mars, or teaching your daughter about astronomy. It all wraps together in the end, though.

And A Hippo New Year

You are a mouse sized house hippo. It is christmas eve and everyone went to bed already. That is, everyone except you. You are determined to see Santa Claus this year. Can you stay awake long enough to be handed your presents personally?

Text Fiction - Game Catalog

If you are a first time player, you may want to start with one of the following three games:

  • Dreamhold (a tutorial game)
  • Anchorhead (a long game)
  • 9:05 (a short game)

The webbrowser on your device should automatically open z3, z5 and z8 files with Text Fiction. If that is not the case, start Text Fiction yourself and select "import" from the menu to manually import the game. Afterwards, you can delete the file from your download folder.

9:05

The phone rings...

Oh no - how long have you been asleep? Sure, it was a tough night, but ... This is bad. This is very bad.

You've screwed up on the job before, but never like this. You've overslept in a major way, and you're in for a world of trouble if you don't act fast.

9:05 was written over the course of four days in room 315 of the Victoria Hotel in Melbourne, Australia. It's a fairly standard text adventure, the one exception being that the verb USE has been implemented. Enjoy!
