Translations

Since v1.4, giftedmotion supports localization. If you wish to translate the application into your native language, please follow these steps:

<

  • Download this file. Copy it into the folder, containing the GiftedMotion JAR file and extract it there.
  • You should get a directory called resources and a file called i18n.properties within it. Copy or rename the file to i18n_[LANG].properties, with [LANG] being the two letter, lowercase <a href="http://www.iso.org/iso/english_country_names_and_code_elements>ISO 3166 code of your language. For example, the country code for France is "fr", so if you were to translate Giftedmotion to French, you'd name the file i18n_fr.properties. In case, your language is spoken in different countries with different articulation, you can further clarify by naming the file i18n_[LANG]_[COUNTRY].properties with [COUNTRY] being the two letter uppercase country code of your country.
  • The properties file is organized as a key/value pair. You only have to translate the value after the equals sign.
  • Simply start the application to test your translations at any time.
  • In case you need to force GiftedMotion to start with a specific locale, you can do this from the commandline, using the following command:

This will start v1.15 of GiftedMotion and load the Portuguese/Brazil language file.

    java -Duser.language=pt -Duser.country=BR -jar giftedmotion-1.15.jar
