Configuration and setup

GNARWL uses a single configuration file, which by default is installed as either /etc/gnarwl.cfg or /usr/local/gnarwl.cfg, depending on the value submitted to the configure script via the --prefix command line argument. The default configuration should be suitable for most purposes and path settings are automatically adjusted properly by installing GNARWL via the two makefile targets "install" and "perm".

The only settings, that can not be auto detected and therefore must be supplied by the administrator are those required for binding to the database. More precisely, the base dn and optionally a username/password combo.
