Getting started with the nenya library by threerings design inc.

Posted in

When releasing the scenepainter setup utility yesterday, I was, upon notifying people, asked the question of how to actually compile and use threering's nenya library for own projects. Simple question, not so simple answer. Digging through the API can be quite time consuming. Luckily, I remembered having written a quick "tutorial" about the subject earlier this year, I just never got around to publish it until now. So with a few months delay, here it is.

AdSense not showing relevant ads for your website?

One of my daily activities includes going through my webserver logs and statistics. I most certainly cannot deny being quite curious about how and why people end up on my website as well as what it is, they wanted in the first place. What I find especially insightful in this regard are search engine referrers. They typically do not only provide keywords for ideas to write new articles about, but also show what real people are actually looking for.

  • The word of god is of superior morality.
  • The word of god does not contradict itself.

With these two premises we can put the bible to the test and the bigots back into the

Not so funny software

As my site is slowly filling with content, I have been monitoring access statistics closely to measure popularity. One thing I noticed is, that a lot of people coming here seem to have software installed on their computer, which is probably not in their best interest. To be more precise, I see a lot of browsers announcing, that they run something called "FunWebProducts". More information on what this is, why one might want to get rid of it and how can be found on wikipedia.
